Madame Ping Leaked as Playable Character in Genshin Impact Version 5.4!
Fans have speculated about Madame Ping becoming playable for quite some time. Hints emerged during the Version 3.4 Lantern Rite cinematic, where both her and Cloud Retainer received playable models. Cloud Retainer eventually became playable in Version 4.4, and it seems Madame Ping’s turn is finally here.
Release Date and Weapon
According to hxg_diluc, a reputable source in the Genshin Impact community, Madame Ping is slated to debut in Version 5.4. Wielding a fitting Polearm, she will be a 5-Star character, potentially joining the ranks in either the first or second half of the update.
Furthermore, the leak reveals her Signature Weapon will boast a staggering 88% CRIT DMG bonus. This weapon could be a great alternative for Xiao players who haven’t managed to snag the Primordial Jade-Winged Spear.
Hydro Powerhouse or Something Else?
Madame Ping’s element remains shrouded in speculation. Given her role as Yao Yao and Xiangling’s master, the polearm choice is a natural fit. However, her design, featuring fish scales and a blue color scheme, hints at a potential first: a 5-star Hydro polearm user.
This aligns with the trend of upcoming characters. Version 4.8 is rumored to introduce Emilie, a 5-star Dendro polearm user, while Version 5.0 supposedly brings three characters from the fiery region of Natlan: a Dendro Claymore, Hydro Catalyst, and Geo Polearm.
